About Us

History

Dwayne Shellhamer founded Shellhamer Emergency Equipment in 1992.  Dwayne is a current active member of the Goodwill Fire Co. 1, in Trexlertown, Pa.  Over his years of service he held positions of firefighter, driver and Captain.  When he started Shellhamer Emergency he drew heavily on his past experiences to help him understand what local fire companies needed. During the next few years the company grew and began to server a larger territory.  Over these years the company never lost focus of its basic principals, honesty and integrity.

The majority of our staff are directly involved in the fire service allowing us to understand in depth our customers needs.  We have always believed the products that we represent are the best the industry has to offer and that is why in April of 2002 we became a Smeal Fire Apparatus dealer.  Our business continued to expand and, in May 2003 we became a dealer for SVI Trucks.  Representing these 2 apparatus manufacturers in central and eastern Pennsylvania.
